CrimeCalls™ collects as little as it can. Here’s what we collect, why, and who else handles it.

Who runs this site

CrimeCalls™ (crimecalls.com) is operated by Continuing Education And Training, LLC, 500 Westover Drive, Suite 17707, Sanford, NC 27330. Questions about this page or your data: [email protected].

What we collect

Newsletter signups. If you join the weekly email, we store your email address, the time you signed up, the page you signed up on and a short browser description (user agent). We use it only to send the CrimeCalls email. We never sell or share your address.
Email you send us. If you write to [email protected], we keep your message and address so we can reply and follow up on listings or orders.
Purchases. Payments (featured listings, featured resources and the submission calendar) are processed by Stripe. Stripe handles your card details; we never see or store your full card number. Stripe shares with us what we need to fulfil your order, such as your name, email address, billing country and anything you type into the checkout form (for example a listing URL).
Server and security logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard request data (such as IP address, browser and pages requested) to deliver the site, block abuse and give us aggregate traffic counts. We don’t run any other analytics or advertising trackers.

Cookies and storage

CrimeCalls sets no tracking cookies. Your browser may store a small note when you dismiss the “add to home screen” prompt, and the site’s offline cache keeps copies of pages you’ve visited on your own device. Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout pages, and Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies.

Affiliate links

Some pages may include affiliate links to writing tools, labelled “affiliate link”. If you click one and buy, CrimeCalls may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The tool’s site or its affiliate network may set its own cookies to track the referral; their privacy policies apply there. Affiliate relationships never affect which listings appear on the board or how we check them. Paid featured placements are always labelled.

Links to other sites

Listings link to organizers’ official pages. Once you leave crimecalls.com, that site’s own privacy policy applies.

Your choices

Every CrimeCalls email will include a way to unsubscribe. To have your email address or other data deleted, or to ask what we hold about you, email [email protected] and we’ll take care of it.
